Brazil Gains Access to Butterfly Network’s Handheld Ultrasound Tech

Butterfly Network Inc. has made its Butterfly iQ+ and iQ3 handheld ultrasound devices and mobile application available in Brazil through an authorized distribution partner network.

Brazil is Latin America’s largest medical device market and one of the fastest-growing ultrasound markets globally,^1,2 and represents a significant opportunity to expand access to medical imaging. The country’s public healthcare landscape also presents an important opportunity to improve access in two ways: increasing diagnostic capacity across high-volume hospitals, municipal health systems, clinics, and emergency care settings, while expanding access to underserved rural communities where geographic barriers can limit timely care.

The company’s semiconductor-based approach replaces traditional piezoelectric crystal-based systems with a more portable and accessible solution designed to expand access to medical imaging.

The Brazil launch further expands Butterfly’s global commercial footprint as it continues to increase access to its technology in key international markets.
